Let's Find Your Size
Compression socks are sized by your calf, not your shoe. Our OFF DUTY™ sweaters and hoodies are unisex, in sizes XS to XL. Pick what you're shopping for and we'll take you there.
Compression Socks
We always recommend going by your calf measurement over your shoe size. It's the number that decides how well the compression works. All our socks are unisex, so this chart works for everyone. Between sizes? Check out our fit tips.
| Size | Calf (cm) | Women's shoe | Men's shoe |
|---|---|---|---|
| S/M | 23 to 38 | AU/US 7 to 10.5 | AU 4.5 to 8US 5.5 to 9 |
| L/XL | 35 to 48 | AU/US 9.5 to 13.5 | AU 7 to 11US 8 to 12 |
| XXL | 45 to 55 | AU/US 9.5 to 13.5 | AU 7 to 11US 8 to 12 |
Shoe sizes are a rough guide only, as they vary between brands. Australian and US women's sizes generally line up, while US men's sizes run about one size bigger than AU men's. XXL comes in selected styles, so check the size options on each product.
How to Measure Your Calf
- Measure in the morning, before your legs have had a chance to swell.
- Sit with your foot flat on the floor and your knee bent at a right angle.
- Wrap the tape around the widest part of your calf, flat against your skin, firm but not tight.
- Match your number to the calf column in the chart above.
No tape measure? A piece of string and a ruler does the job.

A Guide, Not an Exact Science
Leg shape, weight distribution and where you carry fullness can all change how a sock fits, even with a spot-on measurement. Here's what we tell people most often.
Between Sizes?
If your calf sits at the top of a range, that size is usually still your best fit. Compression needs to fit firmly to do its job, and going bigger can mean less support. Still torn? Send us your measurement and we'll help you choose.
Wide or Narrow Feet?
Our socks have four-way stretch through the foot, so they mould to your shape without feeling tight or bulky. One more reason your calf matters more than your shoe size.
Expecting?
Congrats! Measure your calves as they are now, since swelling varies a lot from person to person. It's also worth checking with your midwife or obstetrician that 15 to 20mmHg (Class 1) compression is right for you.
Top Band Digging In?
It should sit about two finger widths below the crease at the back of your knee. Pulled up higher, or bunched anywhere along your leg, it piles the pressure at the top and feels much tighter than it is.
Still Not Sure? Ask Us First
Socks can't be exchanged for hygiene reasons, so email your calf measurement to info@sistasaidso.com and we'll point you to the right size.
